Meet Oral Surgeon Dr. Esmail

Dr. Nadeem Esmail was born in London, England and moved to Dallas, Texas where he completed his elementary and high school education.  He became interested in surgery, dentistry and medicine in college during a summer research project at New York University Medical School.  His passion to care for others and dedication to life-long learning lead him to continue his education to the highest level.  The care that Dr. Esmail provides is unique, in that he has both medical and dental degrees. He is the only dual-degreed and board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Whatcom county. With a decade of experience in private practice, Dr. Esmail strives to deliver the highest quality oral surgery with compassion, integrity and skill. He is proud to offer the full spectrum of oral, implant, and maxillofacial surgery for his patients at his practice in Bellingham, Washington.

Education & Residency

Dr. Esmail first received his undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of Washington.  He then received his medical degree from the University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical School. He completed 6 years of residency training at the UT Southwestern/Parkland Hospital, considered to be one of the world’s most elite training programs in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.  Dr. Esmail’s extensive training in reconstructive maxillofacial surgery has provided him with a unique skill set allowing him to provide the highest level of care and safety to his patients.

Interests & Hobbies

Dr. Esmail is proud to call Bellingham, WA his home. He and his wife have lived in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 20 years. Together with their two young children, they love the outdoors. Dr. Esmail spends his free time hiking, mountain biking, running and open water swimming.
